The CMA (Certified Management Accountant) course is a professional certification offered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) to individuals in the field of management accounting and financial management. The CMA program has two parts: the CMA Foundation level and the CMA Professional level. To be eligible for the CMA certification, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and meet the experience requirements set by the IMA.
CMA Foundation level:
Consists of two parts: Financial Planning, Performance, and Analytics and Financial Decision Making.
Each part is 4 hours long and has 100 multiple-choice questions and 2 essay questions.
The exam is offered four times a year.
CMA Professional level:
Consists of two parts: Strategic Financial Management and Financial Decision Making.
Each part is 4 hours long and has 90 multiple-choice questions and 2 essay questions.

Both parts of the CMA program must be passed within three years of passing the first exam. The CMA certification requires continuous learning, members are required to fulfill Professional Development Credits (PDC) every year to maintain their certification.
